I came across a good series of videos that takes you through the entire process of installing and configuring Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway.
Although there is no sound in the videos, they are useful to have on the side if you are setting up Forefront TMG for the first time.
Kudos to arondmessaging (arondmessaging YouTube Channel) and PirestPaulo (PirestPaulo YouTube Channel).
Enjoy!
This video takes you through the preparation of the TMG Server. This includes renaming the server, renaming the network adapters to make a clear distinction between your internal and external adapters, as well as setting the TCP/IP configuration on each adapter.
it also takes you through the installation phase which includes running the preparation tool, installing the TMG services and management console, and defining the internal network. If watching progress bars isn't your idea of fun, you can skip everything between 4:00 and 6:20.
This video takes you through the Network Setup Wizard to configure your TMG Server as an edge firewall. It also takes you through the System Configuration Wizard and the Deployment Wizard to configure update settings, activate your network inspection and web protection licenses, enable URL filtering and telemetry reporting service.
This video shows how to enable email communications through the TMG Server using the E-Mail Policy Wizard, and takes you on a tour through the virus and content filtering settings.
Now that Forefront TMG is installed and happy, it's time to setup real time analytics and alerting with Fastvue for TMG.
Now that Fastvue for TMG is installed, you can start monitoring your network and configuring alerts for the traffic you need to know about.
I hope you found this series of videos useful. Let me know if you come across others, or have your own you would like to add.
